Frost Dragon Guide

Frost Dragon
Legendary

Frozen Aerie · ATK 560

Frost Curse turns every other attack into a multiplier, Cold Front is the 30% payoff at the end of its spread, and the Ice Lizards are what litter the floor.

Before you pull

Frost Dragon is immune to every debuff and impairment except Taunt.

What you must not do

  • Be outside Cold Front before it stops spreading. The 30% lands at the end, not during
  • Kill Ice Lizards on sight. They are the source of every Frigid Field
  • Never take an avoidable stack. They are a multiplier on Winter's Reckoning, not just a slow
  • Clear the floor before Glacial Surge and Creeping Cold, which recycle what you left
  • Leave early for Snow Day. You are slower than you think
  • Absolute Zero and Draconic Wings come from the front; Leaping Strike hits everything close

The fight, phase by phase

7 phases
1

Frost Curse: the counter behind everything

Icy Prison applies 1 stack every time the dragon deals skill damage to you. Not on a timer, not on a special attack. Every hit.

  • Each stack: March Speed -3%
  • At 10 stacks you are Frozen for 2 seconds, then all stacks clear

The freeze is not the danger by itself. The danger is that you are slowed the whole way up to it, so you arrive at 10 stacks already unable to leave whatever you are standing in. Frozen next to a Frigid Field is how Legions die here.

Icy Prison

Icy Prison

Frost Dragon inflicts 1 stack of Frost Curse whenever it deals Skill damage to a Legion. Frost Curse: March Speed -3% per stack Upon reaching 10 stacks, Legions are Frozen: Cannot move for 2s. All Frost Curse stacks are cleared when Frozen ends.

2

Cold Front: the biggest hit in the fight

The dragon flies up, charges, then breathes frost onto the ground.

  1. Continuous damage to everyone below: 5% of maximum Unit Count, plus 1 Frost Curse stack
  2. The frost spreads outward
  3. When it stops spreading, every Legion still caught in it takes 30% of maximum Unit Count

That third step is the one people get caught by. The spread looks survivable while it is happening, and the real hit lands at the end. Do not ride it out. Be outside the edge before it stops growing.

Cold Front

Cold Front

Frost Dragon flies into the air. After a short charge-up, it breaths frost onto the ground below, dealing continuous damage to all surrounding Legions, and inflicting 1 stack of Frost Curse. Damage Type: Skill Damage (Magic) Damage Value: 5% of the Legion's maximum Unit Count The frost spreads outward. When it stops spreading, all Legions caught within it take damage. Damage Type: Skill Damage (Magic) Damage Value: 30% of the Legion's maximum Unit Count

3

Winter's Reckoning: where your stacks get spent

The dragon leaps and hits every Legion in the Lair for 2% of maximum Unit Count, and each stack of Frost Curse increases the damage that Legion takes. All stacks clear afterwards.

2% is nothing. 2% multiplied by nine stacks is not. This is the recurring payoff the rest of the fight feeds, and it comes around repeatedly, so treat your stack count as a number you manage all raid rather than something you fix once.

Winter's Reckoning

Winter's Reckoning

Frost Dragon leaps into the air, dealing damage to all Legions within its Lair. Each stack of Frost Curse increases the targets' damage taken. All Frost Curse stacks are cleared after damage is dealt. Damage Type: Skill Damage (Magic) Damage Value: 2% of the Legion's maximum Unit Count

4

Ice Lizards and the floor

Cold Call summons Ice Lizards. They mark Legions and cast Frostburn: when the countdown ends, a Frigid Field appears under the marked target, dealing 3% of maximum Unit Count on contact plus a stack.

Their own attacks are Ice Slice (forward arc) and Diamond Dust (single target).

Kill the Lizards on sight. Every one alive is another field on the floor, and the floor is what the next two skills weaponise.

Cold Call

Cold Call

Frost Dragon summons Ice Lizards to its Lair. Ice Lizards periodically mark targeted Legions, casting Frostburn.

Frostburn

Frostburn

Ice Lizard marks an enemy Legion. When the countdown ends, a Frigid Field appears underneath each marked target. All Legions that touch the Frigid Field take continuous damage. Damage Type: Skill Damage (Magic) Damage Value: 3% of the Legion's maximum Unit Count

Ice Slice

Ice Slice

Ice Lizard swings its claws wildly, dealing damage to all enemy Legions in a forward arc. Damage Type: Skill Damage (Magic) Damage Factor: 800

Diamond Dust

Diamond Dust

Ice Lizard fires razor-sharp shards of ice, dealing damage to the target Legion. Damage Type: Skill Damage (Magic) Damage Factor: 800

5

The fields turn against you

Two skills reuse whatever Frigid Fields are already down:

  • Glacial Surge: absorbs every field, spits them back out as Ice Spheres, and each sphere makes a new field where it lands
  • Creeping Cold: drags every field in the Lair toward the dragon, damaging and stacking on contact

Both scale with how many fields exist. A clean floor makes them a nuisance. A cluttered one makes them a wipe, and Creeping Cold pulls them straight through where your melee is standing.

Glacial Surge

Glacial Surge

Frost Dragon absorbs all Frigid Fields, turning them into Ice Spheres and spitting them out again. Ice Spheres create new Frigid Fields wherever they land, dealing continuous damage to all Legions that come into contact with them and inflicting 1 stack of Frost Curse. Damage Type: Skill Damage (Magic) Damage Value: 3% of the Legion's maximum Unit Count

Creeping Cold

Creeping Cold

Frost Dragon draws all Frigid Fields within its Lair toward it, dealing continuous damage to all enemy Legions that touch them and inflicting 1 stack of Frost Curse. Damage Type: Skill Damage (Magic) Damage Value: 3% of the Legion's maximum Unit Count

6

Snow Day

Every 2 minutes a snowstorm forms and drifts toward a random Legion. Contact costs 3% of maximum Unit Count and a stack.

It moves slowly, but so do you once you are stacked. Walk away early, do not wait to see whether it turns.

Snow Day

Snow Day

Every 2m after entering battle, a snowstorm forms in Frost Dragon's Lair, and slowly moves towards a random Legion. The snowstorm deals damage to any Legion that touches it and inflicts 1 stack of Frost Curse. Damage Type: Skill Damage (Magic) Damage Value: 3% of the Legion's maximum Unit Count

7

Healing

Healing Manastone appears when the second stage ends. That is the only heal in the fight, so hold the raid together for it.

Healing Manastone

Healing Manastone

When the second stage ends, the Lair produces Healing Manastone. When gathered, it heals a Legion's lightly wounded units.
