Eliana

Eliana didn't come from a military background, but her determination in battle was as strong as any knight. As a result, no one questioned why this peasant girl became the leader of her local militia.

Eliana's mother died when she was very young. The vestals who lived in the abbey in Laveille treated Eliana as one of their own. Though Eliana was content with helping her father work in the fields, she was always the happiest when Sister Teresa would read her stories from the Book of Light.

On the day Eliana turned 16, Darklings invaded her village. While trying to rescue a child who had been unable to escape, Eliana found herself trapped in a basement. When all hope seemed lost, Leosa, God of Light, answered her prayers. Eliana awakened the ancient holy blade, Aurora, and led the soldiers in a victorious counterattack.

She became a hero and was granted an audience with the King and the High Priestess. Though normally levelheaded, Eliana couldn't help but feel some trepidation at such an event. During the time she spent in Dawngrad, she learned swordsmanship from Alistair, a knight of the Royal Court. She was determined to be worthy of the holy blade she wields.
